Speed Lebanon Accelerator Meets LebNet: Sept. 18th.
LebNet never stops! On Monday Sept 18th, we held our Speed Lebanon Accelerator Meets LebNet event in San Francisco and the SF crowd really brought their energy!
We kicked off with Sami Abou Saab (CEO of Speed Lebanon) and Fares Samara (CTO of Speed Lebanon) discussing their Accelerator and the benefits/challenges of being a startup in Lebanon.
Special speaker, George Chammas, described his story of how he was one of first to bring the Internet to the MENA region- it was truly humbling and inspiring to hear his story.
Rony Chammas then gave us an overview of Peerspace and how they are taking over the peer-to-peer marketplace for booking space for events, meetings and productions.
The audience was a diverse mix of senior Mentors and Industry leaders, young professionals from Google and Facebook, as well as fresh grad recruits representing their Lebanese clubs at their companies.
